Nicknamed the “sourmug,” the Bulldog is a stocky dog that moves with a rolling gait. It has a large head, folded ears, a short muzzle, a protruding lower jaw, and loose skin that forms wrinkles on the head and face. The bulldog is listed as the world’s 2nd most loyal dog. Only the Labrador retriever ranked higher.
Bulldogs almost went extinct and were saved by people that saw them as the loyal, outgoing friendly dogs that they are. 2 Presidents and many celebrities have owned bulldogs for their fun loving , loyal nature. Bulldogs absolutely love children. They are not great swimmers but love splashing in kiddy pools. They don’t do well in extreme temperatures, so it’s best to keep your loyal friend cool in the summer.
If I had to describe a Bulldog in few words I would say, “They are the clown of dogs.” Be careful it’s easy to catch the “Bulldog bug”, a feeling that tells you that they are just too much fun to only have one!
